The ESC volunteers will be a part of The International Student Service Team, under the Office for International Affairs. Here the volunteer will assist in developing and implementing current student services for international students. The volunteers will also work closely with the Orientation Coordinator to develop initiatives to better socially integrate Danish and International students with the goal of creating a common, inclusive and international identity for all Masters Students studying at DTU. This will include, but is not limited to, assisting in coordinating with the student union, PF MSc, responsible for organising two international events per semester. The volunteers will also be expected to assist in conducting or evaluating research on how to integrate domestic and International Students, including what issues need to be overcome. Furthermore, after such research has been conducted an operational implementation of initiatives will need to be formulated and executed. The volunteer will be expected to assist in promoting student mobility amongst Danish and International Students as well as assist in intercultural awareness rising of current students (MSc, International and Exchange students).
The volunteers in unison, will also act as the Coordinators for our volunteer corps ‘Electrons’ who will be the main staffing power for events and activities that are to be created. As Coordinators, they will be the glue that holds the Electrons together, making sure they are well respected and regarded, and rewarded for their efforts. Leadership ambition is a great advantage.
