Description
This fun project is happening in the summer of 2022. The main goal of it is to gather a group of 35 international volunteers who will provide a series of cultural and educational activities for the community in Teisani village. Moreover they will also help organizing the 4th edition of Ruralympics Festival - the only Rural Youth Festival in Romania. For 8 weeks the group of young people will experience life in countryside, Romanian culture and beautiful landscapes, as well as living and working in a big international group. This is a Volunteering Team project, so its also open for people that did long term EVS/ESC.
About the organisation
Curba de Cultură is an initiative of free cultural space in rural areas. It is a manifestation of thoughts related to the rural area and an opportunity to develop the community identity.
The organization is addressed to a series of ideas and projects, specially for young local people which live in Prahova community and Izvoarele commune.
Our youth center is a relay taken from the forerunners, from those who, with good will and dedication, built over 100 years ago the building in which we now enjoy hosting.
Volunteer Profile
- is between 18 and 30 years old - is available for the full 59 days of the mobility - is motivated to do international volunteering - is strongly motivated to live and work in rural area - is interested in learning a different European language - is motivated to work with children and young people - is motivated to develop new competences and to learn about community development - has good English communication skills, spoken and written.
