The Aim of the project is to bring life to the rural community

of Alta Langa and lower Piedmont

by introducing international mobility opportunities to local youth
by valorizing local cultural heritage
by taking care of the natural landscape through permaculture
by organizing festivals and events
by promoting sustainable tourism

Tasks

PROMOTE TOURISM
Managing the hostel and tourist office to attract attention to unique culture and historical heritage of the region

SUPPORT FESTIVALS AND CULTURAL ACTIVITIES
Volunteers will also have the chance to take care of an ancient castle where local events might take place

BOOST REPRESENTATION OF THE AREA IN MEDIA
Take care of social media and promoting tourist opportunities as well as Youth Mobilities opportunities

CONNECTING WITH LOCAL COMMUNITIES
Connecting international projects to local youth, interviewing local people about traditions

PERSONAL PROJECT
Each volunteer will have the opportunity to implement their own personal project

LOGISTIC ON SPOT
preparation of the projects in practical aspects and logistics, small maintenance and manual work

About the organisation

We are Parco Culturale Alta Langa, and together with Associazione Vagamondo and New Wellness Education we are part of the Vitality Volunteering project. We will be your hosting organisation for the next 12 months, implementing together our activities, supporting you in developing your own ideas, and providing space for personal growth.

Volunteer Profile

You are 18 - 30 years old
You are resident in Europe or in a neighboring country
You are available for volunteering for 8 months starting from November 2023
You want to interact with locals and young people from other countries
You want to practice and improve teamwork skills in a multicultural context
You're not afraid of manual work, amused by gardening and would like to promote a sustainable
way of living
You want a pause from your daily life, focus on yourself, experiment with new things
You want to live for one year in a small town, in the countryside and enjoy being surrounded by nature

Selection Process

☀️ The selection will happen in two steps: 1st: we will choose the applications that will look to us more motivated and pro-active, in line with the aim and method of the project. We recommend you to take your time and carefully fill in this application form. 2nd: with the chosen applicants we will organize some video calls to get to know each other, take the final decision and confirm the volunteers
