Associazione Il Ce.Sto Onlus has been involved since 1987 in the promotion of integration and social promotion processes among the different ethnicities living in the historical center of Genoa, with particular attention towards minors, second-generation migrants, and other actors in the neighbourhood.

The social unit of collective hospitality for Unaccompanied Foreign Minors "l'Oblò" was born from the need to ensure unaccompanied foreign minors the most appropriate existential and educational conditions to achieve the satisfaction of their needs for care, support, protection and accompaniment. L'Oblò is proposed as a residential structure organized to accommodate a number of guests not exceeding 15 (fifteen) minors up to the age of majority.

Accommodation, food and transport arrangements

• Accommodation: The volunteer will live in Genova in a shared apartment with double/triple rooms.
• Pocket money and food: 6 euros per day and food or a food allowance will be provided.
• Travel: The travel expenses will be reimbursed on the basis defined by the European Commission.

Training during the opportunity

The volunteer will participate in the training opportunities offered by the Italian National Agency (On Arrival Training, Mid Term Evaluation, and Final Evaluation).

In addition, they will also take part in the training opportunities organised by Associazione P.E.CO., together with the other volunteers involved in the activities of other Hosting Organisations in Genova. They will also receive specific training in the Hosting Organisation related to the target group they will work with.
