Description

A competitive academic fellowship placing students and early-career jurists inside the European Group of Public Law’s Annual Reunion 2026, one of Europe's most distinguished gatherings in public law, with a mentored paper published in the new EGPL Repository.

Each September, the EGPL Annual Reunion brings together senior judges, jurists, and academics from institutions such as the Council of Europe, the European Commission, and constitutional courts across Europe. In 2026, marking 35 years since the first Reunion in Spetses in 1991, the EPLO opens the event to a new generation.

Location: EPLO campus, Legrena — Cape Sounion, Greece
On-site dates: 11–13 September 2026
Funding: Participation is free of charge. Travel and accommodation are self-funded, and an EPLO visa support could be provided upon acceptance— applicants should be able to arrange their own travel to Greece for the dates above, as well as their own visa applications.

Tasks

Volunteers: Experience the inner workings of an International Organization

Open to young people aged 18 to 27 from any field of study. Volunteers help run the Reunion and attend its sessions when off duty, gaining direct exposure to an international community of judges, jurists, academics, and practitioners. Volunteers are expected on site from 10 September for briefing and set-up, and receive an EPLO/EGPL Volunteer Certificate. Selection is on a rolling basis, and early applications are encouraged.
