Training Academy 2023 | How to Join the Event
Introduction
Working with young people is your passion and do you want to help others become trainers? Discover the Training Academy 2023, to strengthen the EYP’s capacity-building offer and support the long-term development of participants to become confident, experienced trainers.
The Training Academy is scheduled to take place in Berlin, Germany, between the 22nd and 26th of November 2023.
The organisation is now looking for Trainers, Trainees, and a Media team that will play a key role in shaping the event and bringing this new format to life.
The training academy
The aim of the project is to train some of the future trainers and head trainers of the 2024 network-wide training events.
The EYP Training Academy will gather up to 25 participants, at least:
- 1 Head Trainer
- 3 Trainers
- 15 Trainees
- 2 Media Persons
- 1 Event Safe Person
- 2 Representatives from the International Office (Project Manager and Volunteer)
- 1 – 2 Representatives from the Governing Body
The Training Academy will last 4 days (5 days for trainers).
The first half of the programme will be based on learning and developing innovative training methodologies and activities.
In the second half of the programme, trainees will focus on conceptualising the 2024 training they have picked and set as their goals.
How to partecipate
The organisation is looking for Trainers, Trainees, and a Media team that can help for the success of the project.
- Call for Trainers
Trainers selected to attend the event will:
- Engage in diverse learning experiences designed to equip them with the skills necessary to impact our community
- Have a personalised focus on their own learning within the event
- Take on specialised portfolios, make impactful decisions, and collaborate together, to the our collective impact in the community
The requirements to partecipate in the event as a trainer are:
- Be a passionate educator
- Be ready to embrace new ideas, practices, and formats
- Have an open mentality and appreciate the multitude of unique ideas and approaches that other participants may bring
- Call for Trainees
Trainees selected to attend the event will be exploring diverse learning theories and create engaging learning journeys for the future trainees. The will be also participating in post-event meetings with the trainers and trainee team.
It is important that trainees are open-minded and ready to explore the world of youth education.
- Call for Media Team
People in media team will be responsible to inspire participants, collaborate with the experienced Communications Team of the IO and show the event and people behind it.
The requirements to take part in media team are:
- Some previous experience in media project creation within EYP or externally
- Willingness to work flexibly with the leadership and communications team of the IO
- Commitment to presenting the event in a way that can support its vision to popularise the topic of training in EYP
