Empower your voice: Youth Summit in Denmark

On May 2019, 200 young people will meet in Copenhagen for the Young Europe Youth Summit to discuss European key issues.

Are you interested in the topics of culture, identity, migration, climate, international relationships and youth? Would you like to analyse, discuss your ideas and deepen your knowledge with other 200 young Europeans? This is the opportunity you were waiting for: apply for the Young Europe Youth Summit, this May in Copenhagen.

Youth all over Europe is going to vote European Institutions in May, and for some of them it will be the first time. Although young people are the leaders of the future, yet they account for the largest share of non-voters. The Young Europe Youth Summit will be a way to collect young people and strengthen the voice of youth in the upcoming European election!

An intense week in Denmark

The Young Europe Youth Summit will take place from May 6th to May 12th and will be divided in two parts.

Monday – Friday: Stay at a Danish Folk High School

You will spend 4 days at a folk high school, that is a non-formal residential school with approximately 60-100 young people. During this period, in groups of 20 people, you will work intensively, in workshops and activities, on the topic you chose. With a versatile method, involving both experts and your personal experience, the group will choose the visions and messages to communicate to the European Parliament.

Friday – Sunday: Stay at the Youth Island in Copenhagen

You will spend the last 3 days on Youth Island in the Copenhagen Harbour, with other 200 young people. During this week, a communication training will take place: you will learn how to communicate your visions and how to make your voice heard in the public debate. The idea is to create a virtuous circle, in which the young people involved in the project will inspire other youth all over Europe. During the press conference of Sunday, May 12th, the messages and the visions will be communicated.
