DiscoverEU Results Are OUT!

We have spread the word about the DiscoverEU initiative and introduced the information on how to apply for it, to get your pass and travel across Europe for free.

Now we are happy to announce that the DiscoverEU results are out!

DiscoverEU: Expand Your Comfort Zone

DiscoverEU is an initiative of the European Union based on a proposal from the European Parliament, which aims at offering young people aged 18 years old a travel experience that will enable them to take advantage of the freedom of movement in the European Union, discover the diversity of Europe while traveling, learn about European cultural heritage and history, connect with people from all over the continent and ultimately discover themselves.

With the travel passes that the European Commission provides, all the candidates that won the selection will have the chance to explore the European Union between 1 March 2022 and 28 February 2023 for a maximum period of one month.

For more information, see the official DiscoverEU page.

DiscoverEU: Results

On January 6th 2022 the European Commission published on the European Youth Portal the results over the selected candidates.

We are glad to see that 333,728 young people applied for a travel pass under the “DiscoverEU is back” round that took place in October 2021. This shows a great eagerness of the young generation to embark on a DiscoverEU journey across Europe. Following a selection based on a multiple-choice quiz, 60,950 participants aged 18-20 will receive a travel pass.

To support the Green Deal, participants will travel mainly by rail, with some exceptions to allow those living on islands or in remote areas to take part.

More Information

A live Q&A will take place in the #DiscoverEU Official Facebook Group on 17 January 2022, where the participants will ask questions related to their future trip.
