The conditions of the programme
The Internship Program offers students and recent graduates a chance to gain practical work experience.
- Duration: Internships typically last between six and twenty-six weeks, with options for full-time or part-time work
- Covered expenses: UNICEF provides interns with a monthly stipend and may offer a one-time lump sum for travel and visa costs, depending on available funding
- Visa assistance: If necessary, UNICEF assists with relevant documents for visa applications
The requirements
Your profile might be a good match if it meets these criteria:
- You’re at least 18 years old;
- You’re currently studying in college or university, or you’ve finished your studies in the last two years;
- You’re good at speaking either English, French, or Spanish, and it’s even better if you’re fluent in the language used in the UNICEF office you’re applying to;
- You don’t have any close family members (like parents, siblings) working for UNICEF or in a position of authority over you;
- You’ve done well in your studies and are motivated;
- Any relevant work experience you have will also be taken into account.
