From 15th November to 26th December 2021, S.A.L.T.O. Youth is running an online Training Course for anyone willing to become a Volunteer Educator Trainer. The training focuses on learning how to enable young refugees/migrants to deliver workshops for local communities.
The Young Volunteer Educators e-Learning Program (e-VELP) is an Erasmus+ European project (2019-2022) that enables young people with migrant/refugee backgrounds to offer high-quality workshops and share their knowledge, skills, and culture with local communities and organisations! Its aim is to create and expand an active community of passionate youth Volunteer Educators (VEs), Volunteer Educator Trainers (VE-Trainers), and Host Organisations by the end of 2021.
The Volunteer Educator Trainer program has 3 parts:
The training will enable participants to support young speakers with refugee/migrant backgrounds (Volunteer Educators) who want to share their passion with their community via workshops.
The organiser is TeachSurfing, a no-profit social enterprise founded in August 2015. The social mission of TeachSurfing is to enable people to share their knowledge and culture with local communities.
The working language will be English. There is no participation fee.
The training course to become a volunteer educator trainer is open up to 30 participants from Erasmus+: Youth in Action Programme countries. It is ideally designed for Youth workers, Trainers, Youth leaders, Youth project managers, Youth policy makers, Volunteering mentors, Youth coaches.
